Skylight Shades come in a wide range of colors, designs, and cell sizes and range from room darkening to romantic light filtering styles, but your options vary between manufacturers. There are four major brands that create skylight shades and each one has it's benefits and specializations.

The four major manufacturers of skylight shades are:

Bali

Bali is one of the least expensive options for skylight shades. With Bali you get quality blinds at an affordable price. As one of the leading manufacturers of skylight shades, Bali has created options that appeal to a wide range of consumers. Bali offers both room darkening and light filtering skylight shades in both single and double cell layers. Bali only offers cellular skylight shades with cell sizes of 3/8” and all of their skylight shades are manually operated. They also offer optional extension poles for manipulating your skylight blind.

Hunter Douglas

Hunter Douglas is one of the most well-known and reputable manufacturers of window coverings. They offer a wide selection of cellular blinds for conventional windows, giving you the opportunity to match your regular window blinds with the Hunter Douglas line of skylight shades. Hunter Douglas is also one of the few manufacturers of motorized and remote-controlled skylight shades. Their line of motorized shades is called PowerRise and is available on both skylight shades as well as their line of cellular blinds for ordinary windows.

Hunter Douglas skylight shades come in single and double cell layers with cell widths ranging from 3/8” to 3/4”. They have an extensive variety of colors and opacities, giving you a wide selection of light filtering and room darkening options. Prices are reasonable, too, and Hunter Douglas shades have been known to last for many years.

Comfortex

Comfortex is another highly-respected brand in the blind industry. This company creates a wide range of beautiful window treatments for all kinds of windows. The Comfortex line of skylight shades ranges from light filtering to room darkening with mostly double cell layers available for better energy efficiency. All the Comfortex skylight shades are manually operated via an extension poles that are available for purchase. In fact, Comfortex offers two lengths of skylight blind extension poles with lengths of six or twelve feet. Comfortex also has skylight shades in both solid and printed colors and patterns to help you match any décor.

Graber

Graber is well known for their varieties of traditional blinds and their skylight shades are just as versatile. All of Graber's skylight shades are manually controlled and the company offers two lengths of extension poles available for purchase: six feet or nine and a half feet long. Graber has a line of cellular blinds for traditional windows which allows you to match your skylight shades to any other window in your home. Their skylight shades come in both single and double cell counts, all with 3/8” cell widths. Graber also offers both light filtering and room darkening options with multiple colors from which to choose.
